Chris Anderson is an amazing writer and thinker. I first discovered him reading one of his features in Wired Magazine a little over a year ago, and have since purchased The Long Tail, but haven’t gotten to reading it. I guess I’m too busy with a Thom Wolfe book, Michael Herr’s “Dispatches,” and “The Best Political Writing of 2008,” not to mention “The Best Short Stories of 2008”–of which there are quite a few very good ones. Tell me how “The Black Swan” is; I’ve been wanting to read that for a while.
You should get around to reading “The Long Tail”. It’s a fabulous book. The “Black Swan” in similar to Anderson’s book, but with a more philosophical bent(Taleb is one of those rare thinkers who concentrates more on practice then theory which I particularly admire).
